Ever wanted to animate a series of screen shots, say, for example a series of maps showing different time periods? Doing this as a succession of PowerPoint slides is a little cumbersome, and results in a pretty huge file. Instead, make the series of images into a video file. Microsoft Photo Story 3 is one of several software products that automate this task, and it's free:
