Florida Analyst Helps Solve Robbery Series; Suspect 1,500 Miles Away (Success Stories)

Pembroke Pines, Fl Crime Analyst, Tracey Julien-Lewis, helped solve a robbery series in Florida in which the suspects contacted victims in response to Craigslist ads for IPADs, and then robbed them (one at gun point). Florida police subpoenaed the suspect’s cell number used to call the victims prior to the robberies, and found that the number came back to a residence in Nashua, NH. Their investigation soon came to a halt as they had little more to go on. Tracey decided to reach out to Crime Analysis in Nashua (found contact on IACA directory) for additional intelligence. The two agencies, although over 1,500 miles apart, worked collaboratively to identify a 16-year-old female suspect who lived in Nashua and was visiting family in Florida during the time of the crimes. Photos were exchanged and the juvenile suspect was positively identified by both victims. The juvenile was soon in Florida custody for Robbery with Firearm. Her accomplice was also identified.

He checked the jail's database, tried facial recognition software, then he looked for sex offenders living within a mile of Bard Alley. "Now I have 122 offenders in the area."

Among the 122 sex offenders is 61 year old Larry Winslow, with a wrinkled forehead, a mouth and chin just like the one in Noel's sketch, and a 12th Street address. "When I saw the address how close it was to our offense, it was an ah-ha moment."
