Welcome to IACA.net

IACA recently exhibited at the 121st Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference that was held October 25-28 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The association participates each year at this event to promote the profession of Crime Analysis to executive level law enforcement professionals. This year we were very fortunate to have a constant and steady flow of Chiefs, Sheriffs and executive level professionals who's primary plan was to find IACA's booth. Many of them had attended courses related to Crime Analysis and wanted to speak with analyst professionals, and agency representatives about the proper use of analysis, training opportunities, certification, mentoring and more.

IACP 2015IACA leverages the connections and the time spent at IACP to increase membership, speak to vendors about possibly exhibiting at our events, participate in training and to inform decision makers about all aspects of analysis. This year Gainesville (FL) Police Chief Tony Jones and Winter Park (FL) Police Chief Brett C. Railey assisted in IACA's booth, helping to expand the knowledge of the profession by sharing “chief to chief” how effective analysis has impacted their agencies in a positive way. They shared how analysts are a part of the team and assists the sworn members in maximizing the use of limited resources, increasing case clearance, providing for proactive ways to prevent crime and ensuring the agency is informed on how crime impacts their cities. A special thanks to all the IACA board execs and members who also participated by managing this project and staffing the booth. Ericka Jackson (IACA Vice President of Membership), Dawn Clausius (IACA Secretary), Jim Mallard (IACA Technology Director), Carma Rollerson (IACA Membership Processing Assistant), Sheena Lovette (IACA Mentoring Chair), Lauren Sykes (IACA Member). Without the collaboration of all these people, this event would not have been as successful.
