Part-time Professor, Protection, Security & Investigation
This position will develop and teach part-time in the Protection, Security and Investigation Program (PSI). The PSI 45-hour course will focus on using the Internet as an investigative tool (Open-Source Intelligence, OSINT). The course will be: geared towards mining online information for use in private-sector and public sector investigations; will be delivered in computer lab facilities at the college; and will instruct student in conducting open-source, online investigations in an effective and ethical manner. Topic areas could include the deep web, meta-search tools, the Internet archive, proxy servers, anonymization, and other related content. Course development will be complete by June 30, 2017. Course development includes course outline as per Humber College standards, weekly lesson plans, and all related material to deliver the course, including course readings, and assessments. Teaching will commence in Fall 2018.
