You made it through descriptive statistics, and you can do this too! This session will detail bivariate analysis and inferential statistics to include correlation/regression analysis, probability, statistical significance, and sampling. While it may seem more complex than typical statistics used by analysts, these advanced statistics will help strengthen your understanding of complex problems and help you determine if your crime spikes are significant enough to warrant concern or fall within the expected range of activity. If you thought last session was fun, just you wait!

Please note that this series is not intended as a substitute for the IACA’s Essential Skills I and II courses or the recommended text. It is intended to be used as a supplemental resource to these items.
