Annual Salary: $85,282 – $116,665

This position is charged with deep and sophisticated analyses of MPD and other data to determine insights, drive optimization, and lead applications of data science techniques. In addition, the Data Scientist – MPD will be expected to lead the presentation and translation of complex analyses to leaders (City Council committees, the Chief’s and Mayor’s offices, etc.), distilling in-depth analytical insights to understandable and actionable recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data to support reporting, analytics, evaluations, coding, and automation.
-Proficient in coding – preferably in SQL, R, or Python –
-Knowledge of analytical and visualization software such as ArcGIS, Tableau, or Power BI.
-Ability to analyze large and complex sets of data.
-Excellent at time management
