The International Association of Crime Analysts is pleased to announce our 30th annual Training Conference in Chicago, Illinois. The conference will be held August 24-28, 2020 at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel.

We invite you to share your experience and expertise with your colleagues at this year’s conference. The IACA is looking for a wide array of topics that are innovative, engaging, inspiring, and informative for crime and intelligence analysts around the world. The goal is to offer relevant, timely education and training to help attendees do their jobs more effectively and make their agencies more successful. Please consider presenting on your best practices, case studies, techniques and solutions. The IACA welcomes proposals from introductory through advanced levels on a variety of topics including (but not limited to):

Crime or intelligence analysis case studies – these are not restricted to tactical analysis; they can include special projects, redistricting, workload allocations or anything similar
Investigative or analytical techniques
Crime Statistics
Analyzing specialty data sets such as cell site data, unstructured text, etc.
Hands-on computer training – this includes applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, Crime Mapping, Crystal Reports, SQL, or similar computer-based programs.

We have many attendees from Canada, Mexico, Europe, South and Central America, the Caribbean, and Asia regularly attending this conference, and that number is growing each year. We strongly encourage members from countries outside the United States to submit presentation proposals.

All submissions must be received by April 10, 2020 at 23:59 EDT.

The Fine Print

Submissions will be evaluated based on the abstract submitted and the speaker’s background and work experience.
Submissions will not be accepted without all the required information.
Educational programming is conducted each day, Monday – Friday, and begins as early as 8:00 a.m. and runs throughout the day, ending as late as 5:00 p.m. Submission of a proposal is a commitment that the speaker(s) will be available to speak on any conference day and time as assigned by the IACA Conference Committee. If you have a concern, please email conference-speakers@iaca.net for more information.
Submission of a proposal is a commitment that the speaker(s) have sought pre-authorization from his or her Department to attend the conference as well as present the course material.
If selected, the primary speaker will receive a complimentary conference registration and one free night’s stay at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel. Secondary presenters will not receive compensation for registration or hotel.
