Executive BoardPresidentAmanda K. Bruner works as a crime analysis advisor in CNA’s Center for Justice Research and Innovation, supporting the Crime Analyst in Residence (CAR), Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), and Public Safety Partnership (PSP) grant programs (US DOJ, OJP, BJA). In this role, she provides crime analysis training and technical assistance to nearly two dozen law enforcement agencies across the United States. Bruner previously served as the first crime analyst for the Matthews (NC) Police Department and as a corporate intelligence specialist for Bank of America. She is also an adjunct professor of criminal justice, specializing in crime analysis, at Radford University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Bruner holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in law enforcement intelligence and analysis from Michigan State University. She is certified as a Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate and Solution Architect Expert, holds a Data Analytics Certificate from Google, and has completed Northeastern University’s professional training in ArcGIS Pro. Bruner serves as the president of both the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) and the Carolinas Crime Analysis Association (CCAA). She was previously a volunteer for the IACA Membership and Regional Associations Committees.. Vice-President of AdministrationAnnie Mitchell is a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and is currently a Supervising Crime Analyst. She has been a crime analyst for 30 of her 42 years of service with her department, also holding the title of Sheriff’s Dispatcher during her tenure. Annie is the crime analysis training coordinator for the Sheriff’s Analysis Unit, providing foundational training for new hires and continued professional development for the 70 analysts employed within the Criminal Intelligence Bureau. She is a California Peace Officer’s Standards and Training (POST) advanced instructor, providing crime analysis training for investigators and analysts throughout the state. Annie developed the 40-hour curriculum and teaches in the first POST certified Crime Analysis training offered in California. Annie is currently the Southern California Crime and Intelligence Analysts (SCCIAA) president and longstanding member of the IACA. Vice-President of MembershipRachel Carson is a passionate career analyst and Director of two specialist training companies in the UK, Futurum Consulting and Training Ltd and Inspired Acts Ltd. Rachel delivers training to foreign government agencies and businesses to help build their capabilities in multiple areas of intelligence and analysis including OSINT, i2 Analyst’s Notebook and operational analysis. Before her training career developed, Rachel spent three years as Principal Analyst for the British Transport Police and eight years as the Head of Intelligence and Analysis for Transport for London. It was during her time at Transport for London, that she became an IACA member and in 2016 became Chair of the International Outreach Committee. Secretary Sabrina Potts has been in crime analysis since 2009. She started as a volunteer at Shawnee, Kansas Police Department before moving to a full time crime analyst with Olathe, KS PD. She returned to Shawnee, KS PD as their only crime analyst in 2017. She studied at Missouri State University and obtained her Bachelors in Criminology and Masters in Administrative Studies with an emphasis Criminal Justice. She obtained her IACA Certification in August of 2019 with her first recertification in 2024. Sabrina served as the IACA Webinar Coordinator for over a decade and has served as the Mid-America Regional Crime Analysis Network (MARCAN) VP of Membership, VP of Administration, and President. TreasurerKristen Lottman began her journey in crime analysis over 20 years ago when she was placed as a college intern in a law enforcement crime analysis unit. She became a full-time crime analyst a few years later and has loved her job ever since. She has worked as an analyst in several areas of the police department, including administrative/process improvement, patrol operations, Real Time Crime Center and criminal investigations. Kristen has been a long-time member of the IACA and served terms in different roles for her statewide crime analysis association just prior to joining the IACA Executive Board. Kristen served as IACA Secretary from 2020-2024 before transitioning into the role of IACA Treasurer in 2025. Kristen has a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies and a master’s degree in Leadership, and currently teaches crime analysis classes in a master's program at a university.
